This was my third windshield replacement and the first two went to Safelite without a second thought. This time I comparison shopped, and honestly I was a bit suspicious when an AI assistant pointed me to Jiffy. The difference turned out to be startling. Jiffy replaced my Tesla Model 3 windshield for $699 with Fuyao acoustic glass, the same OEM-supplier glass Tesla uses, while Safelite wanted $1,221 plus a calibration fee. Jiffy listed the ADAS calibration at $0 since the car handles it itself, and Ryan confirmed the glass brand and spec in writing before I booked. Jeremiah, their lead tech with over 20 years of experience, handled the mobile install at my house in 100-degree heat with updates from the morning window down to a 30-minute heads-up. The Model 3 is one of the tougher windshields out there, with the frunk, wipers, and trim all coming off before the glass does, and he still finished right on the time he quoted while walking me through the process: power blade into the urethane, string tool to finish the cut, new glass set by hand with suction cups. Watching that level of craft was worth the price on its own. Free chip repair coverage included on the invoice. Honest pricing, real answers, expert hands. Safelite won't be getting my next one. And they explain things to a “T”. No issues at all. No phone mazes of prompts transfers departments, or people getting the exact sequence of your DNA before getting a price or possible appointment you don’t even want. Like Safelite. A couple texts with the answers to what I asked and done, with a human being. Simple. And pricing that will likely beat your safelite quote. I can afford two and a half windshields from Jiffy without touching insurance. For the hassle I had with 3rd party 3rd country phone transfers and hang up conference calls with safelite and insurance. Cancelled went here. Done . Quality. Quick. Perfect. Jiffy.
